Hi Guys
Another thing I want to say about the Desmosedici pricing. I have heard that
the dealer gets 10k that is a pretty good margin but that dealer is required
to buy a load of new tools and send someone for training. I am pretty sure a
Ducati tool kit cost more than 30k every dealer has to own that so I
wouldn't be terribly surprised to find the Desmosedici tool kit cost close
to 10k. That cost is enough for some dealers to take what deposits they had
and send them to other dealers not sure of what arrangements are being made
there but it tells me that unless a dealer is selling more than one it isn't
worth selling at all. And the dealer share knocks Ducati price down to $60k.

I hope Ducati still makes money on this. I mean this is not a Paul Smart or
Hailwood bike. This is a ground up new bike. This is the first clean sheet
motor on a Ducati since the 1984 Panta. The Desmosedici is a huge prestige
thing for Ducati. Honda isn't doing it the MV is a cost more and it is
perfumed harlot compared to the Desmosedici. I am darn impressed with Ducati
over this bike. I won't own one but I wish those that do ride in good
health.
