I  am also disappointed, but not in the fact the 848 has no steering 
damper or that it simulates a 749 dark. I am disappointed that there 
is no S or R model. For those of us who are racers and want to be 
competitive with Ducati in Supersport there seems to be no concern 
for this class. I know supersport rules will have to under go changes 
very much like the WSBK Superbike did to allow the 1098, maybe they 
will pursue this next year. But I would like to see Ducati do better 
in this class. Oh well will see what the 748 can do this year again.
