Funny that anyone is disappointed. I don't think they should make one at
all. If you can't handle the power of 1098 you're fooling yourself if you
think the 848 is somehow safer, as is the insurance industry. And that you
think you should get exactly the same bike as a 1098 except with less
displacement for less money tells me you don't have clue. If it cost the
same to make they should charge the same so you want a 848 for $15000 then
yea they should make one you don't want to pay the same as a 1098 then they
should remove as much as possible to get the price down. What they shouldn't
do is force 1098 buyers to subsidize the 848 which what they did with the
748 and 996 that wasn't fair. I doubt they will make that mistake again.
