I hate to, but I have to agree with you.  Here I was, all excited & waiting
with baited wallet for the announcement of a baby 1098 w/o the insurance
hit, and what do I end up hearing about; a watered-down bike that lacks
everything that a "superbike" should have.  Glad I didn't throw a deposit
down on it.

My dealer called me today to say that my 848 will likely be here in
December.
It comes in two colors, red or white, wet clutch! , 5.5 " rear wheel  and no

steering damper.
There is no s version available.
I hope that wheels, suspension and brakes are the same quality as the 1098,

but I did not ask.
Price is 13k.
Anyone heard anything else?
This sounds like a 749 Dark deal which has way less appeal to me than  I 
expected.
