Actually, it can get much higher. My Guzzis with 10:1 get typically get 160. It can get higher than CR*14.7 because when you compress the air/fuel, you are doing work, which gets converted to heat, which increases the pressure. If you were to compress, and then let cool to ambient temperature (assuming no air leaks), THEN you would get CR*14.7. Tom
