[Ducati] Ducati passion

That video is really wonderful.

What a celebration! Giant outdoor screen, delirious crowd, champagne
flowing, shirts from the roof top, spontaneous moto parade of the city
center. Though I've been there just once it made me feel curiously
homesick. I can hardly wait for May. Not too far fetched that they'll
still be at it when I finally arrive.

Here's all you need to know, to see what it looked like on the Borgo
Panigale on Sunday click here:

But this might be the better explanation. It's a post from the
Desmoblog,
not from yesterday, from Sept 3. Italian history was made Sunday, asking
them to
keep that under a hat is well, like trying to hold back the tide. Happy
Italians are a force of nature. I'm truly sorry I missed it.

I jump to my feet at every shot of the Desmosedici.
I look at the most beautiful bike on the track.
The red dominates with its wicked front, looking like a beast in the
savannah. for a only instant I would like to see what you see behind
that front
fairing, I would see a different world, a world made only of a lot of
noise and
few colours. a world without rules but with a lot of particularities, a
world
seen by the winner, made of passion and sweat. I would see a world that
you
can only see from a ducati. a world that is australian in many ways,
but has an
 italian flavour.
my fellow men, italians! the desmosedici isn’t only run by stoner or
capirossi!
it’s run by the openness and calm of the pianura padana. it’s run by the
power of the po and all of its many tributaries.
it’s run by the immensity of lake garda. it’s run by the history and the
royal family of rome. it’s run by the poetry of naples.
it’s run by the passion of sicily, the alps and the apennines. it’s run
by
the sea of sardenia and calabria. it’s run by dante and michelangelo,
brunello
and barolo, the cinquecento and the testarossa, the old bridge of
florence
and the leaning tower of pisa, versace and gucci, moto guzzi and moto
morini,
valentino and agostini, prodi and berlusconi, benigni and troisi,
battiato
and caruso, garibaldi and mussolini, sofia loren and monica bellucci,
pizza and
mozzarella and coppi with his bicycle. all of italy and all italians
run the
desmosedici. it’s run by our tricoloured hope – green of our forests,
white
of the snowy alps and red of DUCATI!
