Kevin,
actually a friend of mine has mentioned something about a Buell track day at
Laguna Seca in Nov. sometime. He is up for it, and as I have been working my
butt off on a project that should end soon, maybe some R & R might be in
order. Perhaps we could get a bunch of Ducati folks out there for the
event?. The point being that with a bunch of folks out there, you can get
some good hints and ideas and have a lot of fun without speeding tickets. I
am now keeping the old Multistrada in Pacifica and also have other bikes out
there to ride, so perhaps we could get something going. With schools and
track days, more is better. More hours, more tracks, more riders to follow
and talk with, just more....... Besides, think of the bench racing
opportunities at the next Hill House congregation come MotoGP USA time!
(e.g. ...I passed you like Rossi would have passed Stoner if Rossi had a
good bike....)
One thing to remember though, track days and reading "Twist" and stuff is
good for the technical side, but there are aspects of fast street riding
that are not covered in any source I have ever heard of. It is still better
to do track days and read stuff than doing nothing though.
Peter
