[Ducati] Swingarm

John,
Here's what I think I know. The CR came fitted with a 4-1/2" rear wheel
and the SP a 5" rear wheel. The CR and the SP swingarms can both accept
the wider 5" rear wheel. I have an aftermarket forged aluminum 5" rear
wheel on my CR, which still has the steel swingarm on it and I'm running
a 180 tire on that wheel as opposed to the 170 I ran on the 4-1/2" rear
wheel.

DJ,
I think the SP had a wider wheel & tire than the CR. I have a CR. I'm
assuming that the swingarm was proportionally wider. Assuming a wider
hub on
the wider wheel, this means a longer axle, or different spacers, too.
I'm
not positive on any of this, but this is what I've gathered from
following
various other discussions. Maybe the SP's wider tire was fitted to the
same
width wheel as the one on my CR. I don't know, but I doubt it. There was
a
guy last week who had a digital fiche he was sending out. If it had both
the
CR and the SP, it's be easy to find out. I don't have the fiche.
