And who knows my neighbor, George Huebner? He worked for the couple
that imported Ducati's in the 80's. I knew he was in the industry, but
it was only after I read a Mick Walker book wherein George was
constantly quoted for his knowledge of what a mess it was to try to
import/sell Ducs in the US back then that I discovered that he worked
with Ducati US. Pretty small world...I still see him occasionally.

Ok, and how many remember Joel Eliel?
In the early times of DIOC, Joel was afraid that people would
discriminate
against hispanics, and therefore didn't use his full name in the early
years. Later on he had a coming out party and fessed up to being
Hispanic,
adding the Gonzales instead of just his first and middle names. Its
been
awhile, but I think it was around issue 31 or so that Joel featured a
picture of me on my then new MHR on the front cover. Both the bike and
owner
are together, and both somewhat the worse for wear ;-)
