Great shots there Phil. Especially the side-hacks. I'd love to have a
larger version of some of them. They'd make fantastic wallpaper for the
computer. Incentive to broaden my travels, perhaps?

Phil, good lord you've got some great action shots in this collection.
I always love your studio "moto history/moto tech" portfolios, but wow,
what IOM action!
So, seriously, how fast do you think those airborne sidehacks are
moving just prior to launch?

OK gang...looks like my 996 boiled over a bit - seems to have just
started spitting back through the overflow bottle near the head stock.
I refilled it, and ran it around locally and then let it idle until
about 210 degrees indicated. No overflowing, but I noticed that the
fan never came on. Does anyone know what temp it's supposed to come
on at? Even after shutting the bike down, and then turning the key
back on, the fan still didn't come on (all my other bikes do when
hot).
Other than just splicing a switch in, is there any other
troubleshooting I should be doing there? I did notice that the fan
itself doesn't seem to rotate very freely. I'm going to jump it from
the battery to see if it goes, but I'd like to know what else I need
to look for in the meantime.
Thanks in advance.

Quick update - I put jumpers to the battery, and the fan spins...but
oh so slowly...so I would think that's at least part of the problem.
Any other help is appreciated.

It's either 215 or 225 but too hot for my blood so I did indeed splice in a
switch using the stock relay as backup. Most of the time I have it on
already well before the stock relay kicks in. Later, Moonbeam
