All I know is that I was fortunate enough to be in Europe from 1976 - 1982 and got to see the American Invasion, made most of the GP races in Central Europe for 3 years 79-82 and despite all the bad press the americans got in the mainstream riding community, they kicked butt, proved everyone wrong, greatly improved the sport, and it was a wonderful time to be an American in Europe. This was of course topped of by the American Invasion of Motocross De Nations which I also was at in 81 and 82 and I was at Elba when King Richard won his 8th and final ISDT Gold Medal and I also got hang with the USA team for 2 evenings on that Island, great time. Now it would appear it's the Aussie's turn, I'm okay with that, but I look forward to the next American resurgence and hope I am alive to witness it. - Gene
