[Ducati] 900SS - Wits End

Back a few years I did the 944 kit with HC pistons for my '96 SS/SP. I also 
opted for the flat slide carbs and was going to do Mikuni's. I was warned 
off them for the very same problem you describe. I went with Keihin 41mm 
FCR's and had no problems. They were mounted on Malossi short stacks. A 
friend had tried the Mikuni's with the same mods as my bike and had the 
problem you're having. I know Bruce at BCM was involved with his project. He 
may have a better recollection than I.
