907 reg is different to the 916 style, where the spring section is held into the fuel pump mount plate by a circlip.  same spring section is used in 2v ie bikes and s4 with a hose barb section, all available as seperate parts for probably less than you'd expect, and should retrofit to the 90 just fine.  as rich says you can crush the end cap to increase the pressure on the spring and hence raise the regulated fuel pressure.  std is 3 bar (43psi).  going up to 3.5 bar (approx 50psi) will give you 8% more flow.

851 and 907 are one piece, altho some of the 851 (maybe 907) ones are adjustable - there's a little cap in the centre you pry out and behind it is a cap head screw.  that's the adjuster.
