[Ducati] 851 Regulator

Hi list,    
Well, list members may recall I was having regulator issues with my 851. I finally got a Shindengan replacement and thought all would be well. The trouble is there seems to be not much charge going into the battery. 12.6 volts over 3000rpm. Basically 12 flat at idle. Wondering if anyone had any ideas. What sort of ac reading should I be getting from the altenator wires. I was assured the altenator output was fine but I would like to check for myself.
