[Ducati] Motogp SPOILER

Right you are Alex,
only the top position finishing counts for the Manufacturer, and Ducati only
needed 6 points coming in to the race (thanks to Capirossi's win at Motegi),
so Alex Barros alone would have sufficed to lock up the manufacturer
championship. Since additional riders could be added to a team, it is not so
easy to say when the team championship is totally locked up, but in reality,
it pretty much is locked up now, even if Ducati pulled out of the last two
races. So a banner year and dominent sweep for Ducati, or wait a minute,
that's right, its all about the Bridgestones, yeah, that's it.

If Ducati had been on Michelins, then the top teams would have had a chance
and Ducati would have just sucked, right? All this talk about tires is
pretty much a big ploy to placate the Jap. manufacturers, by trying to put a
big asterik by Ducati's championship. However at least one USA magazine got
it right, Cycle World. Read the Race Watch article on page 114 ofNov 07
issue.

Even Valentino has admitted (finally) that it is not just tires, but the
Yamaha is so down on power that is the real problem (cycle news, a couple
weeks ago).

Of course if it was just the tyres, and Bridgestones were the winning
factor, wouldn't one think that more than 1 win would have been on a
Non-Ducati Bridgestone shod bike? And even that one win was flaky, being as
it was Vermin on the Suzuki in a rain race, which was a real crapshoot.
Vermin is a great rider no doubt, and did a convincing second place at
Laguna, but still, only one win for bridgestones not on Ducati, and not even
one win on a non Ducati bike in the dry?

Yes Alex, lack of logic abounds among the folks that earn their money from
ads by the big Jap. companies.

But for us, this is fantastic!

Peter
