Please help diagnose problem with non-starting/running Ducati:

Re: 1995 Ducati 900SSCR

After sitting for 18-months, I put in a new, fully charged battery. This bike will run for 1-2 seconds and conk out when I try to start it. It always run flawlessly before being put in storage.

What, oh what could the problem be?
1. Bad gas?
2. Clogged fuel filter?
3. Dirty carburator?
4. Electrical issue?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am 200 miles from the nearest Ducati dealer, so easy, quick transport is not an easy, quick option.

Thanks much,
JG
