How fast did you hit the answer?
   
  Take the first and last number in the series and add them together. Then pair the next pair in, etc. They all are the same number. Count the pairs and use this to multiply by the sum of the original pair and if an odd number od sequential numbers, just add the "last one standing" and you got the total sum!
