John...bikes weren't my undoing at A&M. Used the money I'd saved for a new custom made Hobie surfboard to buy a Para Commander parachute. We jumped at the old back-up airfield/POW camp for Bryan AFB over in Hearne. After a particular hard landing...crash comes to mind along with the flashes of pain and stars, I had to hobble from class to class on crutches lugging my books too. Humid hot spring...and I kinda blew it all off. Still didn't stop me from prematurely (in more ways than one!!!) cutting off the cast and hitch hiking up to Tallequah, Oklahoma for the Collegiate National Parachute Championship. Got banned from jumping...drat!
   
  Still had a ball though! Needless to say my grades were in the proverbial pits and Uncle Sam and I decided to have a four year+ fling. There I got into Maicos to bring up another defunct name!
   
  My wisely misspent youth...some day I'll grow up I recon..when they put me in the ground!  HA!
