For my 1098s, the warning light comes on way too soon at approx 85 miles (I've been watching) If I fill it just after the light comes on I can only get about 2 gallons in it, but I hate having that light stare me in the face. I've gone about 20 - 25 more miles before a fillup after the light comes on.

Given the notoriously inaccurate nature of the low-fuel warning light on Ducati motorcycles, I was wondering what type of real-world range anyone has gotten on the following:
ST3, 1098s, Monster S4rs
I get furstrated having the low fuel lights (or the gauge read low on the ST3) come on at about 100 miles, yet the bikes only taking 2 gallons of gas, implying we could have gone 200 miles. Of course, I don't want to carelessly go 200 miles and run out of fuel.
So, what type of range has anyone gotten from these machines?
Thanks!
