A very small proportion.  The most efficiant internal combustion engines 
(turbo diesels) only manage to turn about 35% of the available engery in 
the fuel into motion. :-(        Maybe we should have a separate heat 
engine running off the exhausts that runs the alternator and an electro 
magnetic valve system???
