[Ducati] 1999 Ducati 750 SS Question

Hello,
     Can someone tell me if the swing arm on a 1999 750 SS is aluminum?   
Also, does it fit, or can it be configured to fit a previous generation SS/CR?   
And, lastly, if it does work, is it at least as wide as the SS/SP swing arm?
     I have magnesium wheels for my CR, but they require the slightly 
increased width provided by the SP swing arm.
