[Ducati] Black, but not bleak future awaits me

YEs indeed, the Carmel Valley road gets very nice once you get past the
little village place. We used to go very early in the morning before heading
to the track, I remember once when George Betzhold, Kurt Weir and a couple
others had gone with me, and as we returned, just slowing down for the
village, there was a Cal. Highway patrol just heading out there. We were
just good responsible riders, doing the speed limit at that point :-) So,
definitely, gotta plan some more of those rides for 2008.
As for bringing the Black Beauty (good idea for a name there Bill,
especially since I have been riding horses even longer than bikes), I might
consider it, since as Alec pointed out, Aaron may not let me ride the
Strada. Of course there would still be the Suzuki 400 bandit of his, somehow
not the same thing though. For the moment however, just the thought of
riding Black Beauty at all sounds great. Dropped by the dealer to give my
friend Frans (the manager) a Pantahead tee shirt, and was talking to the
mechanic a bit, who is already excited about doing the exhaust, cams, and
upgrades on Black Beauty when she arrives next month.
Nothing like looking forward to sweet upcoming events!
Peter
