Tony,? I live in N.Va., Sterling to be exact. You might be interested in hanging out with the local Ducati group, Mid Atlantic Ducati (MAD), http://www.mad-ducati.com
We're a pretty active group both street riding and track riding groups so there is plenty to meet your preferences.? We put on two track events each year at VIR, usually sold out to club members (we just had our fall event a few weeks ago) that just keeps getting better every year.? Several list members here are MAD members.
Contact me if you are interested.
Cheers,
Walt
Hey Andy,
It is good to be a part of the Ducati family. The 999 is my first and
hopefully not my last Ducati. I've owned Hondas, a Harley and a Moto Guzzi in
the
past, but it's been a while. When I rode the Ducati for the first time I
had to take a breath and collect myself for a moment; it had been nearly 20
years since my last road bike and never anything like this. WOW! What a
machine! After a few hundred miles under my tires those old feelings of being
one
with your machine have come back though and in many ways I feel like I was
never off two wheels. All of this though is taken with a healthy respect for
the ponies I now sit on, and besides... I have dreamed of owning a Ducati for
years and the last thing I want to do is bust it up by doing something really
stupid.... not to mention my wife would kill me!
I live in Northern Virginia so Laguna next year may be a little tough but I
plan on getting to as many Ducati events as my time and budget will allow.
Thanks for the welcome and see you down the road.
Tony
