It is immeasurably hard to lose a loved one...wife or child. I have had a taste of that and the only value gained in enduring such a lose is the heightened appreciation we have for life and the love of our family that comes from it. Course extend that out to our world family, it is the only thing that really matters in this life, shame it takes so long for some of us to learn that. I almost lost my son when he was about a year old, a story for another day but your whole life passes in an instant facing such a loss. I and he were spared that day....but my heart goes out to you in your loss. I am sure life and love will one day fill that huge hole, they are never completely gone so long as the memory is kept alive in us and those we share our lives and love with. Rich.

After reading your email posting and seeing the responses to it I felt I too
needed to send my best wishes and prayers to you... your wife... and your
family.
A year ago my family suffered a loss that as yet hasn't fully sunk in yet...
our 71/2 week old baby daughter died suddenly just days before Thanksgiving.
It's a loss that I never knew or could imagine and certainly never thought
I'd have to go through. So I too send my prayers to you and your wife.
Faith will get you guys through this Rich... that's what it takes.
I have no doubt that your wife will make a full recovery and that the two of
you can continue to enjoy the things in this life that are so special between
you.
Yeah... some of us are thought to be tough guys... but when the people we
love get hurt all that toughness goes away and is filled with just plain ole
love.
You take care.... and God bless you and your wife.
