[Ducati] Salvaged Title

Could you nice fellas explain the hassle for a salvage title?  I know 
state laws vary, but just what your exp is and what state would be 
nice.  I've passed on several salvage title bikes and sometimes wish 
I hadn't, wondering what the worst-case is.
