[Ducati] thanks

After lurking on this list for a good while, and swotting up on all
things maintenance, I did a full service on my 2 valve myself. Feeling
quite chuffed. Only 2 inlets needed shimming (lucky I know), and my
local dealer (Ducati Manchester) swapped for the next size for free.
Belts were easy! Only thing that made it difficult is that the battery
tray seems to be a one-piece moulding with the airbox so access is
restricted to the back pot inlet valves. I was surprised at the old belt
condition and tension though (done by a main dealer that has since
closed down, only 1500 miles ago)- very slack and poor condition (so
much that I wonder if they were done at all). After seeing this, I will
not be letting anyone else do my belts in future! Thanks to all the
