Hi Shawn
That is what I did some 25 years ago. I kept telling the real estate people
I wanted a four car garage and they would say what do you want in the house
and I would say doesn't matter. Anyway before you buy talk to and look at
the building codes. I got a waver or I would have been one unhappy camper
they would never let me build the garage I built then now. Make sure they
use a full 8' stud for the wall not the standard wall stud which is 7.5'.
make sure the drainage is out the front door and that there is plenty of
elevation better to build it high then have water sitting in your garage.
Insulate and install more wire then you think you will ever need. Then cover
with interior vapor barrier and drywall. Mine costs only a $1 or so a day to
heat on average throughout the winter. Make sure you put plugs in the
ceiling for lights I have 12 and that is barely enough the older you get the
more light you need. I am sure there is more.;)
