The people making the adverts know what they're doing.  And one of the things they know is that the Chimp watching the advert (the consumer) "don't know their a--e from their elbow".  So they insert whatever sound suits their cause, knowing it will go largely unchecked.  

And another metric cruiser rolls off the showroom floor...
