[Ducati] 999s Vs. s4rs

Larry:
Over the last few years, I had the 97 916 (with Ohlins and termi), the 999S
and now the S4RS.
The 916 was the coolest looking and I put many miles on it with no problems.
I put a 14T and it was perfect.
The 999S handled the same (slightly better) with a giant increase in
horsepower and of course big speed.
Also needed 14T front sprocket.
The S4RS handles the same as the 999S as far as being stable and on rails as
far as cornering. It seems to be a
little more responsive at small inputs to changing your line during a
corner. Or, having to alter your line in any direction
to avoid traffic, holes in road, debris in road, etc. The best part of the
S4RS is that I can ride it for any period of time
and not have any discomfort (back/wrists) compared to my other ducs or R-1
or GSXR. Also needed 14T front sprocket.
Most of our riding is in the Sarasota Florida area. We take about 3-4 trips
per year to NC (trailer) for 4-5 days
of riding. The monster will rule for all day riding. Our riding group all
used to ride extreme sportbikes. Now, we
are more sit-up type sport bikes with same speed and more relaxed longer
rides.
Hope this helps, Al
