the base model 999 of '03 and '04 has a shallow sump motor, so all systems available for a 749 of '03 and '04 (and '05 dark) will fit, just the ecu will not be applicable.  the ti mufflers are prone to cracking, i'd go stainless if possible.  a later '05 on system may also fit as stated, but an early system won't fit a later bike due to the swingarm differences - there's less room around the later swingarm.

the deep sump systems will not fit without mods as the shallow sump is lower around the lh side where the deep sump systems run.
