[Ducati] MotoGP Spoiler

It was a great race with plenty of nail biting excitement.

The power of the Ducati must have just frustrated the hell out of the
Doctor. So much so that he made such an uncharacteristically stupid mistake
in the final laps of the race. It was a total shock to see Valentine make
such a boneheaded move. I have a digital recorder, similar to TIVO, and had
to rewind that move by Rossi a couple of times and I still could not believe
it.

Hang on to your seats because Europe is going to be amazing.

G.

Ok, unlike some of you, I couldn't wait to see the results, there I was,
stuck in greater downtown Gleason, Wisconsin in some wonderfully cool
weather (fellow San Antonio folks will understand) and unable to watch
before my flight back to the land of heat and humidity, so I just hadda
check the results.

Yay!!!! Stoner wins a 3 out of 4 start, and there is no doubt the tutoring
of Capirossi has made a huge transformation in this young man. Although he,
like Hopkins had developed a reputation for crashing, and no doubt, the
Bridgestone's sturdy front tyres help, Hopkins has suffered greatly in
comparison, no doubt lacking the expertise that Loris can provide. The
patience of Stoner to wait for the outcome instead of pushing too hard and
crashing out led to a great victory for him. No doubt, as the race heads for
Euro tracks, Rossi will be ready to make hay, as Rossi demonstrates once
again how a hopelessly third rate bike can be competitive in the hands of a
master, while Edwards demonstrates how quickly (again) a third rate bike can
move backwards in a race after a front row start. But given a huge Elias
blunder, it always leaves open the wide open chances of racing, such as what
prevented Capirossi from obtaining the crown by a mere 17 points last year,
due to the crash inspired by 'teammate' Sete.

Anyway you look at it, MotoGP looks to be the top form of racing in any
venue again, with drama and excitement to come. So it is good news indeed
that Vicki announces three races covered by CBS.

Ciao,
Peter
