[Ducati] Just in time for the grumpy old man!

As someone who has been a fan Motorcycle racing and especially the Moto GP
and WSB racing for years I am amazed at the lack of any real media attention
towards such an exciting motor sport.
To be honest the biggest problem is that the Moto GP and the WSB don't
market themselves to North America. Nascar gets all the attention because
it generates the hype. The Moto Gp had a great thing last year with the win
of Nicky Hayed and that was a great opportunity to get more exposure for the
sport in the United States. Moto Gp should have had Nicky Hayden doing the
sports talk shows all last summer promoting the sport. The week after he
won the Moto GP he should have been on the Jungle with Jim Rome, and the Dan
Patrick show on ESPN Radio talking about how big of a deal it was that he
won such a prestigious event as the Moto Gp. It is sad to say but why should
newspapers spend their resources on the Moto Gp when even the NHF Draft
draws a thousand times more interest. Thousand, I meant a million.
Cheers
George

Okay Vicki,
not sure if that was personally directed or not, but it seems like me to be
a great opportunity for all of us to write letters to our local newspaper
editors to ask them to provide some newspaper coverage of these events.
Have you noticed any sort of MotoGP coverage in your local paper? Unless you
live in Monterey, CA, probably not. So this is a great time to write to the
editors.
Peter
ps be sure to check out Shanghai GP if you lack motivation.
