[Ducati] Rebuilding '96 900SP - continued

Thanks for the input guys.  On one of the online forums I found a guy that
gave me a list of all the superbike bearings that I can pick up from a local
bearing dealer.  I can post it here as well if you'd like it for future
reference.

On to a new question- how did you gents remove the transmission gear from
the crank?  I've got everything torn down but that and I need to remove it
to replace the main bearing.  One of my mechanic buddies has a '91 factory
service manual and it shows a two-prong gear puller and an "aluminum spacer"
(presumably one you make yourself).  I used this method, but the aluminum
spacer started to crack and I haven't got the gear to budge one little bit.
Even tried a little heat and no joy.  I called a dealership and they
mentioned a $200 specialty tool, but since it showed it was possible with a
standard puller I was hoping for a different option.  I've thought about a
3-prong puller, but I don't think there's enough clearance for the 3rd
prong.
