my apologies to all those who are feeling condescended.  i'm sure you'll all survive.

the bit about the idle mixture was the short version of what i get told a lot when i reply to questions i get at work.  maybe your dealer or workshop of choice has a 4 gas gas analyser as we do, but many don't, and finding a car or other workshop that 1/ does and 2/ will let you use it to play with a bike seems to end up (rather understandibly) in the "too hard" basket for many.  which was my point.  just stating some reality.  it's not my bike or a bike we work on, so i really can't do anything more than advise from the other side of the world can i.  if you don't like my advice then simply ignore it.

and while i don't know it all, i know a lot about this specific subject.  which is why i posted.  kind of seems the whole point of a list like this to me.  and being called condescending isn't so bad.  i forget what rich called me a couple of years ago.  arrogant asshole or something like that.
