[Ducati] 900 SS/FE starting & running problems?

Hi Dez,

Please allow me to respond to your questions:

Has it been sitting for a while? Gummy carbs from old gas can cause

problems. Was it sitting before you bought it?

**Yes on both counts. It did sit for a while. Does that mean I need to
pull the carbs apart and clean them?

How do those plugs look when you inspect them. Getting a decent spark
from

them while they are out? (watch your fingers).

** The plugs get a little wet when I try to start her after repeated
attempts. As for spark, thank you for the tip. I'll check it out.

IS the choke working on and off as designed?

** Yes, it seems to be. I can hear the change in the carb sound when I
move the choke.

Are the rubbers mounting the carbs snug on both ends? (carb to
manifold). Cracked rubber?

** I'll recheck to verify but they seemed to be fine. Thank you for your
input.

Cheers, Larry

 Just a start...no pun intended.
