[Ducati] FS: 996 (plus a question and rant)

unfortunately, i thought the $9000 was a little higher than what i was
expecting to hear. especially with the 1098 now being available at $15K! i
haven't been following  the used market very closely...but i recall seeing
really clean 998's going between the high $8's and mid $10's within the past
couple years. i s'pose we were spoiled for a long time with 916's and 996's
really holding their value comparitively, as they were typically going
between $15 and $17K new. just a few years ago, it was rare to see a clean
996 under $13K. i also currently live in chicago. the riding does blow here.
but i'll never sell my 996 =)

I appreciate the info Fred.  I'm currious, were you suprised because $9000 
was higher then expected, or lower based on the soft market?
