[Ducati] AHRMA Daytona

If you're planning on being at Daytona early next week, head out to the 
Speedway for AHRMA racing Monday and Tuesday.  AHRMA races feature 
everything from rigid-frame hand-shift Indians up to the latest and greatest 
twins and triples, and everything in between.  Monday will feature 
handshifter from around the world (there's about 20 of them!), and Tuesday 
features Vintage Battle of the Twins bikes from the AMA Pro Twins era.  Walk 
around the pits and you'll probably bump into a few famous folks like 
ex-World Champ Jeff Smith, and ex-National Champs Dick Mann, Jay 
Springsteen, and Gary Nixon.  Others like Reno Lodi and Cook Nielson are 
also scheduled to attend.

I'll be there racing my 749R in Battle of Twins F1 and Sound of Thunder 
(neon yellow/blue bodywork, #1 on the plates).  I also picked up a ride in 
the Triumph Thruxton Cup (not sure what number I'll be running there -- look 
for the neon yellow/blue leathers).  The Thruxton Cup should be interesting 
as I've never ridden one, the bike is set up for a 150 lb rider (I'm 195), 
and I haven't ridden *any* racebike since October.  Oh well, two 15-minute 
practice sessions ought to sort things out . . .  ;-)
