George,

Try Vintage Cosmo (Cosmopolitan Motors) for that splitter if you want a new one. They often have one (or more) posted on ebay at any given time. If you just want to take it apart there's a floating barrel inside the tube that has receptacles for cable barrels, so if you disconnect what ever is on the far end of the paired cables (I suppose the choke levers) the barrel will slide up and you can remove the cables from it to check their lengths. Motocicli Veloci definitely has one, and a picture of what it looks like when disassembled, here.... http://www.motocicliveloci.it/inglese/catalogue/comandi_uk.htm

BTW, thanks for the terrific hospitality last weekend. I rang the doorbell on the way out, but I guess you guys had a late night Saturday and I didn't want to wake you unnecessarily. The Scottish Woods ROCK!

Subject: [Ducati] 1990 750 Sport choke cable question

While going over the bikes this week, I found that the cables for the 90
Sport's choke were looking pretty sad. There is some fraying of the cables
themselves and the housing ends are not fitting up well with the caps.

Me thinks - no problem. Take the assembly apart, get some new cores and
housings and make up a new set. Well - not so fast. I cannot figure out how
to break the assembly. Now this is not the Weber setup. It has the Malossi
conversion. I don't know if this cable (with a "one into two" splitter) was
stock with the Weber. I bought the bike with the conversion already done.
Anyway, I have a picture at -

I would appreciate any leads.
