[Ducati] RE: What is better an ST2, ST3 or ST4?

FWIW, my '97 SS/SP (bought new) was absolutely bullet proof for 30K mi. Not
a problem and I took it on many long trips, including CT to WY. My '96 SS/SP
had every problem known to exist on Ducati's. It became the heavily
modified, pseudo race bike and then was quite reliable. My 998 has been very
reliable with typical Ducati maintenance. The Triumph, at 14K mi., has been
perfect with only oil and filter changes.
