Yes please explain, my own experience is as follows:
Ducati 02' Monster 900, bought in 04 as a leftover, 20K miles. I have had a 600mile, 6K,12K, and 18K service, and the replacement of my dash at 11K, speedo quit working - I've made lots of Mods but have had NO ISSUES and I run the snot out of it most times including track days until I got my S2R for track use. Normal wear and tear on tires ~8-10K and replaced the clutch at ~14K
Ducati 04 ST3, 19K miles, I have had a 600mile, 6K,12K, and 18K service. They did a recall on the bike when new(valve springs and a different ECU), made some MODS, but NO Other Issues, get about 10K on a rear pilot tire and 12K on a front pilot. Replaced the clutch at 15K
Ducati 06 S2R1000, 3K miles, too new I suppose but no issues.
And FWIW, service has been way cheaper than my 2 BMW K75s were and just a little bit more than my Victory's, although the tire mileage I get on the Victory's is way better.
