Eric,
I have had just about every clutch problem one can have with a dry clutch.
They are fairly simple. Periodically check the bearing in the pressure
plate. When that goes it takes out your slave cylinder. Remove the
pushrod (mine broke at the o-rings on the slave side) and check the o-rings
on it and in the cap that is in the pressure plate. I also usually blow out
the whole clutch area. I would pull off the slave and check the bore for
scoring. Just remove the 3 bolts on the sprocket side and push the piston
back in the bore. I have an aftermarket slave and there is 2 grommets and a
shoulder washer, I can't remember the stock set-up but take care to
reinstall in the same order is was before. Also not when replacing the
pressure plate, it needs to be installed in a certain position. If you have
a stock pres plate there is an arrow or triangle that need to lined up with
the post with the slots in it.
Hope this helps!
