[Ducati] new Ducati owner - clutch

 I've got the exact same thing going on with my '01 996. Been running
absolutely fantastic until recently when it started this jerking thing,
normally around 4-5k RPM, and only at a steady throttle. Never happens when
accelerating or decelerating. I'm due for a 12k service, but I suspected the
clutch is going since it's starting to slip taking off from first. Wanted to
try replacing the clutch first (got one sitting in my room) and see if that
s the problem, but just haven't had the time to do everything. It used to
happen every once in a while, but recently it's been happening more often,
which makes me think it's the clutch. Just didn't want to post up yet since
I couldn't really describe it in words ;)

No erratic throttle - I'm just cruising along and there's a very small,
quick jerking back and forth.  It's nothing real drastic, just a bit
annoying.

 
It's a 748.  It's usually when I'm cruising around 4 to 5k RPM with a steady
throttle.  I think I did have issues with the injectors last summer - I'd
accelerate and suddenly lose all power.  Running injector cleaner through a
tank cleared it up.  Maybe it's the same thing and I should try some more
injector cleaner...
