I did this on mine with my rear brake lever. I took it off the bike,
clamped it in my bench vise and banged it back to straight. I think ideally
you'd anneal it (heat it up to a certain (high) temperature, then cool it
slowly), straighten it, then re-anneal and heat treat depending on the alloy
(iirc). Annealing makes it soft so you can cold work it (flex it) without
making it too brittle and breaking it. With very thin aluminum parts I've
done it with a propane torch, but I wouldn't advise that for a part like
this.
