I've been following the tire pressure thread and mostly the information has been good and in a good range. Too high and you lose the compliance of the tire to form a good footprint on the road surface. On the other hand....
...it needs to be mentioned is that if tire pressures get too low, especially on the rear, the tire carcass begins to "work", creating higher internal temperatures that are additive to the normal running temps. This will cause higher wear rates on tires that wear too quickly already. Track time tires get eaten up quickly due to the soft rubber, but with street tires, do be careful.
