Paul;  Congrats, great, bike I own the yellow version with 31K miles.
First, crack the bleeder to make sure you don't have a build up of hydralic
pressure, then make sure your clutch pack is not so thin that the pressure
plate isn't making good contact.  If the problem persists then a pack of
Barnett street/track plates has worked fine for me.  Happy trails, Moonbeam
