Have you contacted Chris in engineering at Barnett ? The last plate and 
spring kit I installed had pretty much the same issue that you described so 
I gave them a call at Barnett and talked to Chris. He had me send the kit 
back to him so he could check it out. Turns out the supplier of those 
friction disks had a problem and he sent me back a hand picked set of plates 
and another set of springs. Took care of the problem.
