I went to visit my local motorcycle superstore yesterday and was surprised 
by what I saw.  First, I saw the Hypermotard, which looks different in 
person to me.  For some reason, in looked lower then I expected.

What really surprised me thought was the glut of sport classic models they 
had.  There were '06 models deeply discounted, including the Paul Smart ed. 
If I remember correctly, they were knocking $3K-$4K off. I mentioned to the 
salesman "I thought these things were supposed to be a hot item" to which he 
replied "So did the owner".  He also told me bike sales have fallen of 
dramatically and manufacturers and dealers are "sh*tting in their pants".

Sounds like it might be tome to go shopping.
