Hi Dino,
This response is coming from Rich Lambrechts:
"If you are you sure it's the coil you can use a Bosch coil that was used
on a lot of mopeds - it's a more modern looking coil but since it hides under
the tank it goes unnoticed and produces a really good spark" Here's one on
eBay now - Item # 220133537562"
Hope that helps,
Vicki

I have finally started to work on th eDiana I purchased a few month
back. After rebuilding the carb, replacing the petcock gaskets and fuel
lines i thought I was ready to kick it over. No such luck. Seems the
coil is shot. 4 ohms across the LT temnimals and 11k from the HT to the
LT terminals. I've tried a few sources and all have said that 6 volt AC
coils are nearly impossible to come by.
Does any oone know of a source or a method of converting away from the
AC coil? As I do not intend to rebuikld the bike and not restore it I am
not opposed to minor madifications or improvements.
This group suggested a few web sites that are more focused on old
singles but I mistakenly save the wrong e-mail and lost the info.
Thanks Dino
