[Ducati] 916/996/998 underseat heat

If I'm moving along...usually 180-190 F. If I'm stuck in traffic, it can
go to 230 F (and that definitely feels hot). One thing to note....I always
ride with either leather perf'd pants...or these "Draggin' Jeans" I bought
years ago (amazing how well they've held up)...anyway....the jeans have
some padding in the arse/taint area (made of kevlar cloth)....this might be
giving me the illusion that the bike isn't as hot as yours (I never ride
with just ordinary jeans).

OK - so now you guys have me worried. Perhaps I have a problem larger
than just radiant heat. I don't hear any popping so I'm pretty sure
it's not too lean. No water in the oil, so it's probably not a head
gasket.
What's the typical running temp (indicated) on your 996's?
