Frank asked:
>>I have a 125 Bronco with a seized engine. I removed the head and filled
the barrel with penetrating oil, but it hasn't budged in three weeks. Any
ideas? this machine was in my basement when I bought the house in 1980 and I
have no idea what its history is.
Thanks, Frank.
Frank,
Try a product called Kroil (creeping oil), this product is much better than
the hardware store penetrating oil by a long shot. Also Google their web
site as I am sure that they make a product specifically for seized engines.
Give it a try and apply heat with an industrial heat gun not a torch, you
want to heat the barrel more than the piston, if you can, heat up the barrel
as hot as the heat gun will get it, apply ice to the piston then apply
pressure to separate.
Best of luck,
